In addition to the highly successful Golding Industry Conference - now in its sixth year, we will be presenting the inaugural 'Women Shaping Industry' Conference and Dinner in April 2010 - please see below for further information on both of these key events on the Gladstone Region calendar.
Golding Industry Conference 2009
The Golding Industry Conference 2009 will be held at Central Queensland University Gladstone campus on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 October 2009.

2009 Conference Theme: "Major Industry: Opportunities"
The Gladstone Engineering Alliance Inc. (GEA) is proud to host the Region's premier engineering event, the two day Golding Industry Conference 2009, to be held on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 October 2009.
The conference will be held daily at the Central Queensland University - Gladstone campus from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Central Queensland University is a top rating university networked internationally, nationally and regionally with the Gladstone campus making a significant contribution to local industry through its research centre and environmental monitoring.
In addition to the formal conference program which will provide delegates with unsurpassed opportunities to access critical relevant information on opportunities which will be provided by major industry into the future. The GEA is this year pleased to introduce additional valuable networking and professional interaction opportunities with the introduction on Tuesday 13 October of an exclusive conducted tour of Gladstone industrial sites. The tour will enable visiting delegates which the Region has successfully integrated major industry into a sub tropical coastal lifestyle, whilst also offering a platform for networking and professional interaction between speakers, sponsors and delegates.
For the first time, the GEA will host an exclusive Speakers and Sponsors Cruise on Gladstone's magnificent harbour on Wednesday evening 14 October. This event will provide further important opportunities for conference sponsors and speakers to mingle in an informal setting whilst providing a different perspective of the scope of industrial operations within Gladstone.
At the conclusion of the conference, the GEA will once again host a formal post conference dinner, on Thursday evening 15 October.
The conference provides a forum for major industry proponents to showcase their project quantum, timelines and contacts, thus providing information on business opportunities in Central Queensland for GEA members and other Queensland businesses into the future. This year's event is specifically targeted at identifying opportunities for business.
Speakers at this years conference will be a representative of the regions major industry, infrastructure (providers and planners), and the minerals processing and mining industry.
