Potential seen for business in airport upgrade

28th April, 2009

Gladstone Engineering Alliance will provide an update on the Gladstone Airport Runway Reconstruction Project.

GEA Business Development Manager Kim Williams said the GEA was delighted to be offering, in partnership with Gladstone Regional Council, Golding Contractors and QantasLink, an industry focused briefing luncheon tommorow which will provide a forum for GEA members and any interested businesses to hear first-hand of potential opportunities the project may provide to local enterprises.

"By providing opportunities of this nature, we can help ensure all sections of the Gladstone community remain informed of progress on this important project."

"The Industry Update Luncheon being coordinated by the GEA Events division will hear presentations from Gladstone Regional Council CEO Graham Kanofski, Golding Contractors Area Manager Jason Edge and Qantaslink Regional Sales Manager Chris Brooker, all of whom will address the project from a business perspective rather than a community-interest perspective."

"This is a wonderful opportunity for not only GEA members but businesses across the Gladstone Region to hear the most up-to-the-minute information from the project's three major players, whilst also finding out more about potential opportunities for local businesses," she said.

The luncheon will be held in the International Room, Rydges Gladstone, from midday until 2pm.

Tickets are avaliable from GEA @ $60 per person for GEA members and $70 per person for non-members.
